Welcome to another protective hairstyle edition. This time we will be diving into the recent hype on these wig streets: The headband wig.
Fairly new, headband wigs are simply wigs with a headband attached, that also helps to secure the hair with a velcro. Kinda, sort of like a half wig. They are easy to install, convenient, affordable, and most importantly super cute. This is honestly one of the best low manipulating protective styles I’ve come across, aside from box braids.
I was recently contacted by Luvmehair to try one of their headband wigs. Since headband wigs have been trending for a while now, I had to try it. This came at such a perfect time because I wanted to start a new hair growth journey using wigs. However, my issue with lace front wigs is that I get super discouraged when it comes to the installation process. Especially since I don’t sleep with them on. Headband Wig Installation
Further, when it comes to the installation process, headband wigs are such a breeze. I will be sharing my thoughts about this curly headband wig and how I style mine. This wig is such a time saver in the morning. I am personally not a morning person. I don’t spend too much time getting ready because my sleep is very important to me lol. So the fact that I can plop this on my head, secure it by tightening the straps, add a cute headband to it, and just go, is a huge 2 thumbs up in my book.
The headband wigs are beginner-friendly. They are a great alternative for people that are just getting into wearing wigs or lazy naturals like me. You can just grab and go with no additional work needed but styling the front of your hair or edges. Which you can do the following night for that extra convenience or sleep lol.
Texture – Jerry Curl
When it comes to the texture, I opted for a kinky curly wig (Jerry curl) because I thought it will be fun to mimic something that looked like my hair. Honestly, it best decision ever because I freaking love this texture. If I had the opportunity to try I different wig I would go for the kinky straight from LuvMeHair.
