Spring was officially in full effect a few weeks ago and it has been off to a pretty rough start. This is because of the Corona Virus outbreak. We have all been asked to stay home. To be dramatic, this is due to a full-on world lockdown. With the way things are looking, summer might be canceled. And if we had any say in the matter, I think 2020 should be canceled as well. We need a do-over. This post is about my take on spring-summer trends and style.
As a result of Rona, we never got the chance to give Spring a proper welcome. But, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t keep your positive energy and start thinking about your cute summer outfits. Not to mention, how you are about to slay these summer streets as soon as outside opens up again. With that said, we should all be excited about the amazing times and endless possibilities ahead.

Looking Forward
I hope you are using your time in quarantine wisely. Whether it is working on your projects, getting in tune with yourself, quietly enjoying the break, or catching up on some reading. No matter how you chose to spend your time in quarantine, make sure you are paying attention and questioning everything that’s going on around you. Your discernment is extremely important at this time. These uncertain times won’t last forever. Equally important is that we all got plans and ‘tings’ we need to tend to, after all of this is over.

By now, the thought of wearing real clothes and dressing up is out of sight, out of mind. Considering that you’ve probably been living in your pj’s for the past few weeks. God knows I had been living in rags, till I had to go back to work a few weeks ago. In any case, it’s time to get inspired by these looks. Within the waves of boredom, we are all daydreaming about what we might be missing during this time at home. Once (we are told) it is safe to go outside, many of us will be rushing to make plans. We are all looking forward to meeting up with friends & family, grabbing a drink on a terrace, or simply going out to a nice dinner with your man.

With that in mind, I want to give you a few ideas while we transition from Winter to Spring/Summer. More like Pyjamas to real clothes. The best part about these looks is that – you should already have these pieces in your closet or similar. Some were re-introduced last year or even the year before that. The followings are the trends you should be looking forward to styling; Floral Dresses/Skirts, Puffer sleeves/milkmaid, Tailored pants, broderie/tassels, wide-leg pants, one-shoulder tops and slip dresses. These styles are all coming back this summer.
